Clothesmaid Limited
Terms of Business & Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 2026
Part 1: Terms of Business
1. Suitability
Before placing an order, customers are responsible for checking that our products are suitable for their intended use and installation environment. Assembly and fixing instructions are available on our website and should be reviewed prior to purchase.
2. Delivery
We aim to despatch all orders within 3 working days. During busy periods a longer lead time may apply — please check our homepage for any current notices. Delivery is normally completed within 10 working days of despatch.
If you are unable to accept delivery, the courier will leave a card or you will receive a carded email notification. Please respond promptly to arrange redelivery. If an item is returned to us due to failed delivery, we reserve the right to charge for redelivery.
On receipt, please check that you have received the correct number of parcels and that packaging is undamaged. Contact us immediately if there is any issue.
3. Installation
Our airers and products are supplied as “supply only” products. Customers are responsible for installation in accordance with the fixing instructions provided. Clothesmaid Limited cannot be held responsible for the cost of installation or removal.
We cannot accept returns of any product where components have been used or installation has begun.
4. Cancellations & Returns
We hope you will be delighted with your purchase. If you need to return or cancel your order, please get in touch and we will be happy to help.
You have 14 days from receipt of your order to notify us that you wish to return goods (provided they are unused and in their original packaging). You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
The cost of return delivery is the responsibility of the customer. On receipt of undamaged and saleable goods, we will refund the full cost of the item(s). We cannot accept returns of items that have been installed or used. We reserve the right to apply a restocking and repacking charge of £5 per order where necessary.
Please note that orders are often despatched very promptly. Once an order has left our workshop it cannot be cancelled — the returns procedure above will apply.
If an order is returned to us following failed delivery attempts and you wish to cancel, we reserve the right to charge for return delivery costs.
In the event of an item arriving damaged or faulty, please let us know immediately — preferably by email at sales@clothesmaid.com — with clear photographs where possible. Replacements for items deemed faulty will be sent out free of charge. We reserve the right to charge for return delivery if you decline a replacement.
5. Your Statutory Rights
Our products are covered by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If something is wrong with your order, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund depending on the circumstances.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
To the extent permitted by law, Clothesmaid Limited’s liability is limited to the value of the goods supplied. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any matter which it would be unlawful to exclude or restrict.
6. Intellectual Property & Copyright
All text, images, product descriptions, and other content on this website are protected by copyright and are the intellectual property of Clothesmaid Limited or are used with permission. The Clothesmaid name, Clothes Maid name, and logo are registered trademarks of Clothesmaid Limited in the United Kingdom. Unauthorised use is prohibited.
7. Governing Law
These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of this website or purchase of our products shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
